GRASSLANDS

Grasslands seeks to create a vibrant, family-oriented community through the use of traditional neighborhood design principles. The community includes an extension of the major connector road, Scenic Parkway. This roadway will connect the Dominion Boulevard Corridor, a key strategic area, to Great Bridge. This connection will complete a decade old plan to link these significant areas of Chesapeake.

The community will be governed by the drawings found within the Design Book and other materials on this website, and the associated development criteria. The development criteria represent the minimum requirements required by the developer and the community. To enforce and implement the criteria, a Design Review Committee (DRC) will be established to approve and monitor all design endeavors in Grasslands. The criteria provide mandatory minimums. Whenever possible, owners and builders are encouraged to exceed these standards.
